I am sort of getting use to little ones showing up to a session wanting nothing to do with me and by the middle of the session it is like they are on a sugar rush and we are having a blast together! Mr. C was seriously so much fun, I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard

Oh the A Family, they had me laughing and smiling our whole session…even when we found out they are Aggies and I am a Longhorn. See we can get along . The wind was a little crazy for our session but the day was gorgeous and the images turned out amazing One thing I always ask the parents is when was the last time they had professional pictures taken of just them…10 times out of 10 the answer is THEIR WEDDING! Sometimes that is 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 years ago; so I have to remedy that, enjoy!

Miss R is awesome, seriously awesome. “Lay on the ground in the grass head like that…well sort of..well move it”, her response ” SURE!”. I met her last year for a family session, and my goodness how fast she has grown. This time her dad couldn’t make it so we made it a mom and daughter session (I tried SUPER hard to get her Grandma to just take one picture…didn’t work ). Anyway here is Miss R, would I could just squeeze!

Rain, sunshine, sunshine, rain…that was the weather in Old Towne Spring this past weekend. Somehow someway the day of the S Family session it was gorgeous! The sun was out there was just the right amount of breeze which of course meant Old Towne Spring was full of shoppers. Being as that Ms. R is 11 years old I was a tad nervous she would be bothered by the crowd, instead I was so excited to have the polar opposite. One thing I love about family sessions is getting to see how they all interact with each other well the S family LOVE each other. Just look at slide show below, can’t you just feel how much they love each other? Enjoy!

[N & K Basketball Pictures Sneak Peek] The Woodlands, TX Family Photographer

Sometimes I do a session and am totally amazed at how much the weather does a turn around. This session with N & K was no exception, the day before it was gray and freezing but the day of their session it as perfect! Some sun, some clouds and 2 girls that were super easy. Taking pictures of a high school girl and a junior high girl is not my norm but it was a nice break from chasing little ones . I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

And this was a special request by their mom, she had a picture of the girls doing a similar pose when they were little. I loved the idea of recreating a past picture!

[Mine on Monday] The Woodlands Family Photographer

Today I was looking at some fellow photographers blogs and I came across Amanda Andrews and her fantastic “Mine on Monday” idea. I am really good at randomly taking pictures of the kids, not so good at posting them and HORRIBLE at printing/gifting them. This blog is for my clients but is also for my clients to have a sneak peek into my life of 2 kids under 3. So not instead of always randomly putting pictures of the kids up I am going to do “Mine on Monday”. Not only will this let everyone see them grow up but it forces me to take pictures of my kids on a weekly basis.

Here are some Christmas pictures, Mr. C was so excited to get some Cars he could barely speak when he saw them. Then he saw “Dora” books and the excitement was boiling over! We set out cookies and milk for Santa and the next morning he would not let us move it! So the plate and cup had to stay on the fireplace all day, not sure if he though Santa was coming back?

THIS is why Christmas I love Christmas, seeing it through a child’s eyes is so much fun.

And Ms. Priss she isn’t even 2 yet so really it was just see how many of Big Brothers gifts I can grab and how mad can I make him? She did a really really good job at both. I am wondering if we are going to have a tomboy on our hands, she loves to play with Big Bro’s cars, likes to wear hats and if you give her a baby doll she will throw it on the floor. At least her pajamas are cute!

One of these isn’t “mine” but he is now a friend of Mr. C, they had so much fun together. Gave me a brief look at what 3 kids would be like….loud! But like I said all that matters is they had fun, played their hearts out and slept late the next morning

This Thanksgiving my family came to Houston so we decided to “attempt” a family picture. Which meant setting up the tripod, getting the setting down and running into the shot. What I did NOT think about was the fact that both kids would fall asleep in the car on the way there which would then result in a meltdown X 2. So this is what we got, take it or leave it this is about it. There is a reason photographers hire other photographers to take their family picture….

But then you always get that one picture, that one that makes it all worth it…and this is mine.

And at the end Colt decided to make up for his tantrum and pick his Aunt some flowers. Watching a 2 and a half year old pick flowers and decide to give them to his Aunt pretty much the cutest thing ever.

I love Old Town Spring, it is one thing to be there when it is deserted but it is a whole other thing to be there when it is packed! It was so much fun, we were literally stopping traffic for almost the entire session. The D family was fantastic between running into the middle of the street and laying on the ground they all did an amazing job (Grandma included)! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!
