Most of my blog posts are happy and totally dotting on a brand new little one and in a minute I will transition to that but right now blogging this sessions has been by far the hardest one I have ever had to share. When little Ms. L’s moms contacted me to do the newborn sessions they let me know that their precious new daughter was suppose to have a twin sister too. The day of delivery she passed away in utero. As a mother my heart broke, for a baby I didn’t know, 2 moms that lost a baby and big sister that lost a little sister. When I made it to their house for the in home newborn session I will admit I was a little nervous if I could hold it together. Here’s the thing, from the minute I walked in the moms were pillars of strength, love and support. It was by far the most amazing and humbling newborn session I have had or will have. And oh my goodness little Ms. L was a perfect little one, she let me pose her and cuddle her without so much as a sound. And I hung out with her big sister who I am pretty sure is now my new best friend and I cannot wait to see her again. As this is my job I fully admit sometimes I forget how special and amazing each baby is. Every single baby is a miracle. So I will start here, honoring her sister. Her new guardian angel that will catch her when she falls and laugh with her when she laughs.
See their shirts? See their hands? I had no idea until I started editing the images that their hands matched their shirt…GO LONGHORNS!!!
Now the sisters. The love bis sis has was amazing. She alone was a total rockstart, when I was leaving she ran across the room into my arms to give me a hug. We are completely best friends now and I can’t wait to see her gorgeous self again.
I can’t thank these mamas enough for trusting me with their new little girl, the big sis and including the little one that gained her wings. It was my honor.
